GBRS Group Performance Standards
We’ve built a new GBRS Performance Standard, a benchmark combining the exercises we’ve relied on our entire careers, from selection pipelines to operational deployments.
It’s not random. It’s not fluff. These movements test your strength, power, endurance, and control under pressure. This is how we evaluate our training, our progress, and our readiness.
*This is the downloadable PDF version of our Performance Standards.
STANDARDS EVENTS INCLUDED:
- Broad Jump: Power and ground coverage. Control your landing. Measure off the heel.
- Bench Press: Bodyweight for max reps. Tight setup, drive with purpose.
- Trap Bar Deadlift: 3–4” elevated. Full-body strength. Posture and control. 5 clean reps.
- Pull-Ups: Pure upper-body strength. Pronated grip. Eyes over the bar, max repetitions.
- Plank Hold: Core control. Tension, alignment, and endurance under static load.
- Farmer’s Carry: Grip, posture, and resilience. Carry your bodyweight. Stay tight and tall.
- 800M Run: End it with grit. Pacing or send-it mode.
CORE ELEMENTS:
The standards include drills that test:
- Strength
- Power
- Endurance
- Control
Test your capacity and willpower.
These aren’t just workouts, they’re a language. They speak to how we move, how we adapt, how we respond under strain. This is what we’re using to track our evolution, individually and as a team.
